Trinidad and Tobago head coach Derek King has named a 26-player squad for the September–October window of the 2026/27 Concacaf Nations League, with captain Levi Garcia among the selections as T&T prepare to face Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Curaçao.
The squad combines experienced internationals with younger players, including Andre Rampersad, Daniel Phillips, Kobi Henry, Rio Cardines, Dante Sealy and Tyrese Spicer.
King’s message to supporters is clear: believe in the group as Trinidad and Tobago prepare for their next international challenge.
Levi Garcia’s leadership central to Trinidad and Tobago’s plans
Garcia, listed with Greek club Panathinaikos in the TTFA squad announcement, will have an important role both on and off the field.
“Levi Garcia’s leadership will be extremely important for us,” King said in the statement accompanying the selection.
“As captain, he understands the responsibility that comes with wearing the red, white and black, and we expect him to lead by example both on and off the field.”
King also highlighted the contribution of Rampersad, Cardines, Reon Moore, Henry, Wayne Frederick II, Phillips and Spicer. He said the group brings experience, athleticism, technical ability and a strong desire to represent the country.
Derek King balances experience and youth
The Trinidad and Tobago squad includes players based locally and across overseas leagues, giving King a range of options for the upcoming Concacaf Nations League matches.
Alongside established names, the selection features Nathaniel James, Dantaye Gilbert, Andrew De Gannes, Luke Phillip and Roald Michell.
King explained that the selection reflects both immediate ambitions and the national team’s longer-term development.
“We have been very deliberate in building a squad that can compete now while also continuing to build for the future,” he said.
“There is a balance between experience and youth, and I believe that is very important for the development of our national team.”
Experienced players will also be expected to help younger teammates adjust to the demands of international football.
Haiti, Dominican Republic and Curaçao challenges await
King identified Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Curaçao as the opponents awaiting Trinidad and Tobago during the upcoming Nations League period.
While acknowledging the quality of those teams, the head coach expressed confidence in his players and preparation.
“We want to play with courage, intensity, discipline and personality,” King said.
“We want our players to be brave on the ball, brave in the challenges and brave in their decision-making.”
Above all, King wants a team that plays for each other and for the country.

King urges T&T supporters to believe
King closed his statement with a call for supporters to back the squad.
“The message to our supporters is simple: believe in this group,” he said.
“We know there is work to be done, but there is also tremendous potential within this team. We are hungry, we are ambitious and we are ready for the challenge.”
