According to an official release from the Spartak Moscow website, Levi Garcia is now officially part of the club. The 27-year-old Trinidad and Tobago national team forward has been signed for 3.5 years. Levi has already joined the Red-Whites at the training camp in the UAE. He will play for Spartak under number 11.
The now former AEK Athens player is a key player for the Trinidad & Tobago national team, now coached by former Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke. Levi has been hampered by some injuries over the last couple of seasons, but the career path is very exciting for Trinidad & Tobago football fans.
Levi Garcia’s journey has been seen as a shining light in Trinidad and Tobago football since he made his stunning senior debut for the Soca Warriors, scoring two goals against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on March 25, 2016. This made him the youngest-ever Trinidad and Tobago scorer in a World Cup qualification match, at 18 years and 127 days old. It is no secret for those who follow the game closely that the number of Trinidad and Tobago players playing in Europe has dwindled rapidly since the 2006 World Cup generation of players.

Levi’s impressive stats speak volumes for a player who seems to consistently according to the statistics be very highly productive in his goal scoring output and ability to take on players one versus one. A trait that often gets completely overlooked by all reports is his humility. Ever since Levi started to get wider attention, he has never shown any signs of arrogance but carries himself with a quiet confidence that is quite rare these days with modern athletes. Now he continues his journey at Spartak Moscow and even though Trinidad & Tobago football tends to have had a lot of negatives in recent years, Levi’s journey carries the torch of positivity that everyone involved in the game hopes inspires many to follow his path.
