Trinidad and Tobago men’s head coach Dwight Yorke has revealed a 54-man preliminary squad for the upcoming 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, set to run from June 14 to July 6 in the USA and Canada.

Speaking during Concacaf’s virtual media day on May 20, Yorke expressed confidence in the new nucleus of players selected for the tournament. A day earlier, he unveiled a 54-man preliminary roster, featuring a balanced mix of youth and experience. “This is about a new era of TT football,” said Yorke. “You’ll see a few familiar faces, but many players are making their first real entry into the senior team. That’s the direction we must go.”
Yorke, appointed in November 2024, has spent the last seven months instilling his footballing philosophy. He praised the foundation built by former coach Angus Eve but emphasized the importance of elevating the team’s tactical discipline—especially when playing out of possession
